Political Cartoon

1. Choose 6 cartoons to document the progression of the political campaign.

2. Be sure to include your paragraph
analyzing the cartoon.
3. Include date and MLA citation of source.

4. Reflection: Examine your 6 cartoons and analyze how collectively these cartoons evidence how society affects change on an individual and how the individual affects change on society. Write your response under the heading: "Reflection: Applying the Essential Question to the Political Cartoon".

5. Read and dialogue with 3 classmates about their reflections.

Collage

Create a Political Collage.

1. Using words and photos, create a political collage of the main points of the Democratic campaign.

2. Using words and photos, create a political collage of the main points of the Republican campaign.

3. Reflection: For EACH collage, Generate 1 paragraph in which you analyze how your collage reflects the change the particular political party hopes to affect on society and on the individual.

4. Dialogue with 3 peers: respond to 3 peers' political collages and their reflection statements. Comment on your reaction to their visual and how it connects and supports their reflection.

1. Generate 5 questions regarding this political campaign to ask in your interview.
2. Practice with a peer interviewing skills/strategies - are you getting the response you desire?
3. Interview someone over 18 years old.
4. Record the results of your interview (the actual Q&A).
5. Write a reflection on how the person interviewed responded and what their response says about them as a representative of community?
6. Based on this interview, how is change by the individual on society reflected?

Create a Gadget to collect important news coverage of the election.
Be sure to include Democratic and Republican positions.
